ベルギーのバンド・デシネ作家 Camille Van Hoof（カミーユ・ヴァノフ） さんは、ボローニャ・ラガッツィ賞コミック部門（ヤング・アダルト）を受賞したデビュー作 『Sentimental Kiss（センチメンタル・キス）』 を発表した気鋭の作家さんです。 当店では 9月12日（土） にサイン会を開催します。ご来店お待ちしております！

ブリュッセル出身のカミーユ・ヴァノフ（Camille Van Hoof）は、自身のキャラクターたちに少し似た雰囲気を持つアーティストで、無数の「かっこいいもの」に情熱を注ぐBD作家です。
サン＝リュック校でイラストレーションを学び、その後ラ・カンブル校でグラフィックおよびビジュアルコミュニケーションを専攻。2015年にヴァレリー・ラロンドとの共著による初の児童書『Les Petits commandeur（ちいさな司令官たち）』を刊行し、翌年には『Drôle d’arbre（ふしぎな木）』を発表。
Instagramでは、日常の出来事を数コマの短い漫画として発表しており、それらは「Soupe de nombrils（へそのスープ）」としてまとめられ、ミニコミやファンジンのイベントでも彼女のレーベル〈La Petite chose〉の作品と並んで紹介されています。
『Sentimental Kiss（センチメンタル・キス）』は、彼女の表現力が一冊に結晶した、デビュー作です。

Camille Van Hoof ressemble un peu à ses personnages, elle se passionne pour un million de trucs cools. Comme beaucoup d’auteurices bruxelloises de sa génération, elle a étudié l’illustration à Saint-Luc, puis la communication graphique et visuelle à La Cambre. Elle fait paraître son premier album jeunesse, Les Petits commandeur (Le Seuil Jeunesse) avec Valérie Larrondo en 2015, puis Drôle d’arbre (Versant Sud Jeunesse) l’année suivante. Elle poste régulièrement sur son profil Instagram des récits autobiographiques en quelques cases ; une collection de saynètes du quotidien qui composent sa Soupe de nombrils que l’on retrouve sur les tables des festivals de microéditions et de fanzines, aux côtés des autres créations qu’elle publie avec son label La Petite chose. Sentimental Kiss (L’Employée du Moi) est sa première bande dessinée.

Camille Van Hoof is a little like her characters: she is passionate about a million cool things. Like many Brussels-based Belgian authors of her generation, she studied illustration at Saint-Luc, a Brussels art school, before going on to study graphic and visual communication at La Cambre, another leading art and design school in Brussels.

In 2015, she published her first children’s book, Les Petits commandeurs (Le Seuil Jeunesse), with Valérie Larrondo, followed by Drôle d’arbre (Versant Sud Jeunesse) the following year. She regularly posts short autobiographical stories in comic-strip form on Instagram: a collection of everyday vignettes that make up her Soupe de nombrils, which can be found at micro-publishing and zine festivals, alongside other creations she publishes under her own label, La Petite chose. Sentimental Kiss (L’Employée du Moi), her first graphic novel.
